NYT Needs To Brush Up On Its Ramones

A recent New York Times article Taking The A Train To Summer”” discusses how young hipsters are embracing the gritty beach alternative of Rockaway, rather than trendy and upscale beaches like the Hamptons or Jones Beach. They mention that “The Rockaways’ rising popularity among the younger creative set has been profound.” Yet nowhere in the article do they reference “Rockaway Beach” by the Ramones? Heresy. I get the feeling that the young, artsy types referenced in the NYT article have been chewing out the rhythm on their bubble gum while hitchin’ a ride to Rockaway Beach for quite some time. Gabba Gabba Hey!
