Why My Paper Cost $5.00 This A.M.

The Old Newsboys, a campaign started in 1932 to help those in Syracuse who couldn’t afford coal during the Great Depression, has become an annual fundraiser for the Christmas Bureau–helping families in need with a holiday food basket and some toys for children.

Last year, the community-wide campaign spearheaded by the Post-Standard, United Way and the Salvation Army raised $50,000 to help families in need. So buy a special edition of the newspaper and chip in a little extra. 100% of donations go right to the Christmas Bureau and into holiday baskets and toys for children..
