On Tuesday October 2nd, Bruce Springsteen will release his new album, titled “Magic.” The album will be a full E-Street Band record (including Soozie Tyrell on violin) with 11 new songs. Only one song, “The Long Walk Home”, has ever been performed live, once on last year’s Seeger Sessions tour.
According to Bruce’s manager Jon Landau the album is: “sonically guitar driven”, has some great Clarence Clemons moments and brings back some “romantic pop touches” that were more frequently heard on the earliest Bruce records.
When asked about a tour, he admitted that details were being worked out and that TV appearances would probably be in the works. “What do you think about us doing American Idol?” Landau asks. “Come on, I’m kidding!”
